Merging duplicates

In this video learn how to merge duplicate households and people when they occasionally occur.

 

Tip: Always merge your duplicate households first

Go to the navigation bar and click on the tab Households

This will display all households, grouped by the first letter of the household name. If you pick another letter from the drop down it will update the list of households. The drop down shows how many households there are whose name starts with that letter.

Side Panel

The side panel is displayed on the right hand side of the page, if you are viewing it on a device with a small screen such as a tablet or phone you can access it by tapping menu.reveal.png

 

The side panel includes a merge option that searches for households that have similar contact information.

UCare will then step you through all possible duplicates and ask if you want to merge them. Select the households that are actual duplicates and click merge.

 

Merging duplicate people

This will display all people, grouped by the first letter of their last name. If you pick another letter from the drop down it will update the list of people, the drop down shows how many people there are whose last name starts with that letter.

UCare will then step you through all possible duplicates and ask if you want to merge them. Select the people that are actual duplicates and click merge.
